HelpMe`s Argument

So I was away on vacation and found out that I would be coming home one day earlier than expected. I text messaged my girlfriend and told her the news, expecting her to be excited and want to hang out as soon as a got home. Her response, "I thought you were coming home tomorrow." No expression of happiness or anything. Then after driving for six hours I call her up and tell her that I made it home and ask what she is doing that night. Maybe my expectations are unreasonable but I thought she would already have been on her way to my house by then and would want to spend the rest of the day with me. Regardless I at least thought she wouldn't have already made plans to do other things. Instead she tells me that she was cooking for a few people and was about to leave. So I said ok, and told her that I was going to meet a friend for a drink. I was initially really upset but I thought we would see each other afterwards so I figured it would be alright. Once I calmed down I sent her a text message saying "You can come back to my house after your dinner party or I can meet you for a drink." My girlfriend lives in NYC and I live about 28 minutes out of the city. So anyway she doesn't respond to the text message at all. At like 11 we finally talked on the phone again and I found out the problem. She did not want to do either of my two suggestions because she doesn't like coming up to my house anymore and she didn't want to get a drink because she was trying not to drink anymore. Even though she was drinking at her dinner party. Then she went on to tell me what I should have suggested we do that night and then she began calling me an asshole for an hour.

Letta`s Argument

I love how he posts arguments way out of context. First off weve had several arguments about him not coming to the city to stay the night at my apartment EVER. After this argument he posted, I've spent 2 entire weekends at his house. Ive even asked him if I could cook him dinner at my house and then he could spend the night at my apartment. Hes turned me down at least 3 times. So yeah Im going to get upset when my only option to see him is to come to his house. He has repeatedly told me he doesnt want to stay at my place. I'm pissed off! Hes so selfish.

why doesnt one of you move in with the other. then you wouldnt have to worry about going the distance. if that wouldnt work just give up there are lots of different fish in the sea.

HelpMe who said you were the only one that gets to have options? Your options were self centered and did not leave room for Letta to voice herself and what she wanted.
